Unique Aspects:
Let me kick off by just saying what an awesome place.
Taking a look at Societi Bistro from the outside unfortunately does it very little justice, with its somewhat run-down looking outside area and lonely entrance, you may think there was no restaurant left there at all. Perhaps this is all part of the act and adds to the allure and excitement that is felt when you do in fact walk through the doors to find a warm, lively, top quality restaurant hidden away in this restored urban house in the middle of Gardens.
The service is impeccable, the waiters are all knowledgeable on the menu and know how to offer an up-market service without making you feel uncomfortable whenever they are near. In addition, the menu is well thought out and put together in such a way that you could really take anyone there and they would immediately take a liking to at least one item on the menu, without waiting patiently to see if “food-envy” will be on the cards. The menu offers a variety of dishes, all brilliantly conceptualized and delivered.
Without blowing its trumpet too much, I must say that Societi is put together in a very intelligent fashion. Not only do you have the warm and cosy restaurant, but their is also a bar hidden around back which is well suited to some casual drinks with friends. With it being somewhat hidden, it provides a great place to sneak off to, if you want some time away from the masses.
My one piece of advice though is book in advance as tables are hard to come by on any day, but especially on weekends.
