So for someone living in Cape Town for over 6 years, I am absolutely ashamed to say that this was my first visit to Royale Eatery. This place has some of the best burgers in the city, an easy contender for the top spot alongside the specialty burger restaurants that have started to infiltrate the city.
The ambiance was super relaxed and casual and I would highly recommend trying to reserve a table upstairs as it is slightly more removed from the pandemonium that seems to embody Long street. The crowd too was an eclectic mix, everyone there to enjoy their meal over a couple of relaxing craft beers.
Highlights definitely included the meal (they do not exclusively serve burgers I should add – but I would recommend them – they were delicious), and with an atmosphere and great service to match, it was an experience worthy of every cent spent.
